The FAO will provide technical support to Haiti’s Central Bank in managing the funds, mostly from the European Union, dedicated to the program. It will also provide low-interest credit to support individual agriculture production for use as biodiesel feedstock, similar to Brazil’s National Financing Program. Graziano also confirmed that a diplomatic mission lead by Chile and involving Argentina and Brazil is expected to study the possibility of transferring other successful social programs to Haiti.
