I am not a missionary. I'm

I am not a missionary. I'm not even christian but Bryan is correct in his observations that there are some missionaries who would put their own religeous ambitions and dogmas ahead of the basic goal of helping a people in need. You cannot come in here and say to these people, you must believe what I believe or I won't help you. Also, there is this practice of one mission snubbing another for no other reason than they feel that they have the better church. I have lived in Haiti for three years working as a diesel generator mechanic. I own a garage in Cap Haitien. I still don't speak much kreyol but in my own small way I am here to help people whatever their beliefs. I provide jobs, and I teach others my trade. I truly feel that anyone considering coming to Haiti or anyother country to be a missionary should take a long hard look at their own soul and realize that if you are here to salve your concience or earn "heaven points" stay home and send a check.
