Haiti Innovation is please to announce that we have received our official ruling from the IRS, and we are now a 501(c)3, public charity, nonprofit organization. All monetary and in-kind donations to Haiti Innovation are now tax exempt. Our tax exemption status is retroactive to the date in which we were incorporated, on February 22, 2005. Everyone that contributed to help Haiti Innovation off the ground will be receiving their receipts shortly. Thank you for your patience as we went through the tax exemption process. Now who says that ‘IRS’ and ‘good news’ can’t be mentioned in the same paragraph?
