Palm Beach Class Celebrates Haitian TraditionBy Robert Miller on Jeudi, octobre 13, 2005.
The first grade class chose Haiti as their country to celebrate. They have been learning about Haitian customs and traditions. The class listened to Haitian music and is preparing a drum and dance performance for the school’s International Day event. They are also organizing a soccer equipment drive. They are collecting new and used soccer cleats and soccer balls and will be sending the equipment to a church in Haiti. The students are trying to help the nation they are learning so much about. Hopefully, through their efforts and the school’s generosity, they will be able to gather enough equipment for a sizable donation. Casey Papa |
