Academy of the Palm BeachesThe Academy of the Palm Beaches is celebrating the 11th Annual International Day. It is a showcase of cultural diversity. During this school-wide event, the students dress in costumes from around the world and celebrate cultural diversity through songs, dances, and foods. The day emphasizes the importance of peace and humanity.

The first grade class chose Haiti as their country to celebrate. They have been learning about Haitian customs and traditions. The class listened to Haitian music and is preparing a drum and dance performance for the school’s International Day event. They are also organizing a soccer equipment drive. They are collecting new and used soccer cleats and soccer balls and will be sending the equipment to a church in Haiti. The students are trying to help the nation they are learning so much about. Hopefully, through their efforts and the school’s generosity, they will be able to gather enough equipment for a sizable donation.
