Incredible coincidence it must be, but my partner and I also stayed in a beautiful house in the mountains looking out over Port au Prince last August.

We live and work in New Zealand and never realised the sheer beauty of Haiti until we happened to be invited there by friends.

It is idyllic and yet sad at the same time to think of the struggle the people of this country have had to endure.

I am wondering what the property investment potential is for a place like Port Au Prince - if not now, perhaps in the future?
