I'm always in two minds whenever I hear of a new location which is being converted into a tourist paradise.
On the one hand I know how amazing the revenue can be for lifting an area or a whole country out of a really horrid economy and bringing prosperity to those previously poor.
On the other hand, it is sad to see another area taken from it's natural, untouched state and built up into the Western idea of paradise - hotels, retirement homes, pools, beaches, jetskis, hamburger restaurants etc etc.
I just hope this brings Haiti more benefits than pain.
