I am very happy that the elections went well, and the people showed up in large numbers to cast their votes. I am hopeful that this election is going to change the direction of the country and bring stability and relief to some of the country's poorest. I hope that whoever is elected, is going to be respected, and all the other oponents change their focus and now work together for Haiti to achieve its full capabilities. It should not be a matter of who is the winner of the election and what political party they represent, it's time to make Haiti a winner. We have done it in the past by becoming the first black republic and we can certainly do it now. Lastly, I would love the opportunity to return home for a vacation and not have to fear for my safety, so a successful election is a great step towards that.
