Strike two. Preval’s second nominee for the position of Prime Minister was rejected. While food insecurity continues, politicians squabble. I have a modest proposal - Give the politicians concerned one meal a day until a Prime Minister has been selected and a new goverment can be formed. This is, after all, the reality for many in Haiti. I suspect officials would work out a solution rather quickly.
In reply to this comment. I think it is shameful that Slaves were better leaders than the Haitians today. We've made a mockery of ourselves for the past 200 years. Haiti does not belong to haitians, not since 1915. We've been controlled by occupation and foreign backed dictators. No nation is uncivilized enough where they want to hurt themselves, otherwise you would never hear of haitians trying to escape this hell by boat. I would rather Haiti return to France its mother country than to be subject to this. Excluding ignorant haitians,Politicians and the people who benefits from Haiti's woes are the only ones who could honestly object to the idea. Haiti is a prodigal son and I think if not all Haitians but to the ones who are tired of eternal hell on earth there should be a movement to return to France
