Unfortunately, I don't believe that the Embassy move to bring back families and additional employees really has anything to do with the real security issues. It seems that it is usually much more political than related to reality. Port-au-Prince has been for the past few years pretty much in the same situation and rarely has any violence been directed at Embassy personnel or foreigners in general, though there is a sense of chaos all around. Get those elections going make some real changes...then the Embassy will not have to worry about so much violence. Lack of electricity, joblessness, hunger and hopelessness are the causes of violence in Port, so until those things begin to change...
