What do you think of the Jubilee Act that passed the House of Representatives last Wednesday and is now going on to the Senate? It proposes to make 67 countries, including Haiti, eligible for immediate and full debt cancellation from multilateral lending institutions such as the IMF and World Bank. This looks pretty good to me as long as there is no fine print. Let me know what you think about it, or post a message about it to let more people know about it through your site. People can call their senators concerning this to urge them to become co-sponsors of this bill. This obviously could really help given the current food crisis. Thanks!
