Just as Daryl wrote, we need an Agricultural Revolution. We need to create jobs in the basic needs, jobs in food, water and shelter production. We need to produce food with mechanized agriculture.
But we cannot keep the status quo of sending little help here and there. They only help a child live long enough to become a delinquent in the street when he turns 16, 17, 21.
We need investors in modern agricultural production. I have more than 50,000 acres available to me with a minimum of 300 acres per farm and some pieces of land are 12,000 acres big. I have spent a little more than $300,000 in tractors and attachments, seeds and fertilizers, etc. We need serious investors to invest in modern agriculture in Haiti. They will have to invest once instead of giving a little each year and see no progress. This system of giving a litle to help one child at a time must cease. I have set up a for profit agricultural company in Haiti. For serious help in revolutionizing agriculture in Haiti and really help stop hunger. Send electronic contact information to ed57@cornell.edu.
I am a Cornell University School of Agriculture graduate and Haitian-American with extensive food production and processing background.
